Here is what you can expect

We have an adult Sunday School class that convenes at 9:00 every Sunday (except the last Sunday of the month). The class lasts about 45 minutes, and is devoted to focused Bible studies.
Upon entering the sanctuary, you will be greeted and handed a bulletin with the order of events during the service. Our worship services begin at 10:00 with the entering of the light and the lighting of the candles at the front of the sanctuary. The worship leader then reads a short devotion, and covers any announcements for the coming week.
We have a time at the beginning of the service where we greet each other. Visitors will be greeted like family! We ask all visitors to fill out a contact form that will be in the rack at your pew. All we want to do is send a card thanking you for joining us. We know there are many options for your Sunday morning, and we want to extend thanks for choosing to spend an hour with us.
We love our music at Walnut Church! Every Sunday we will sing a hymn at the beginning of the service and at the end. Most Sundays, we will have two praise songs we sing prior to the scripture reading and message. All the words to the songs will be on the screens at the front of the sanctuary. Our choir sings often, and we will sometimes have someone perform special music.
Prayer is a major part of our services. We have a time for sharing of joys and concerns from the congregation. We believe that in sharing our joys, they are multiplied; and sharing our concerns allows others to pick up part of the burden. We will have time for our own silent, personal prayers, followed by corporate prayer led by the pastor, and closing with The Lord's Prayer.
This is the meat of the service. The worship leader reads the scripture for the day, and the pastor delivers a message anchored to the scripture. The message usually lasts about 20-25 minutes.
Children are most welcome at Walnut Church! We sincerely embrace the sound of little voices in our sanctuary. If, however, you prefer, we have an attended nursery where they can play happily during worship.
